THE COURSE OF CHANGE

GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTS...ALLOW ME TO REINTRODUCE MYSELF, I AM KIKI. YEA, YOU SEE THE NAME KIKI KINKKZ...NOW SOME OF YOU READING THIS MAY KNOW ME BY KE-KE OR MARQUITA BUT FOR THE SAKE OF THIS BLOG I AM KIKI KINKKZ. LET'S JUST SAY I'M MAKING A SLIGHT TRANSITION (IF YOU WILL). I STARTED THIS BLOG TODAY IN HOPES OF UNLEASHING THE CREATIVITY THAT LIES DORMANT AND HAS BEEN FOR MANY YEARS. NOW, THIS IS NOT MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT BLOGGING BUT IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE ACTUALLY WRITTEN STRAIGHT FORWARD,MEANING NO PEN, NO PAPER JUST STRAIGHT THOUGHTS. THIS IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND SOMETHING THAT I'VE NOT DONE SINCE COLLEGE SO BARE WITH ME.......

The title reads " THE COURSE OF CHANGE". Upon first glance one would think that this blog is going to consist of lessons on how to change ones life, circumstances or etc. NOPE!!! Not today! I'm here to share with you all my journey as I began to make a drastic change (for the better) in my life. For such a long time I have found myself containing the wonderful gifts that I've been blessed with by God. I am a woman of many talents but life and the paths that I have chosen has led me to feel as though those talents weren't good enough. I am a writer, hair stylist, artist, mother, daughter. sister, friend and so much more but I want to stay focused on the first three titles...WRITER, HAIR STYLIST, AND ARTIST. I have an undeniable passion for all of the above. I've always had "knack" for writing and hair has ALWAYS been my thing. Artistry on the other hand...hmmm??? Art...I have a different kind of passion for art. When I say "art" I don't mean like Picasso or anything like that. What I mean is that I simply have the ability to create something from nothing. Now, how does all of this work into change? Well, I have to CHANGE my way of thinking and being before I am able to tap into my many talents and be my true self. Most of us are afraid of being who we really are. I was once that person but I've learned that by supressing those talents and my feelings towards them only hurts me and stunts my growth and development that is necessary for me to become the INDIVIDUAL that I need to be.... So during my journey, I will be sharing snippets of poetry (which I love!), natural hairstyles and my personal opinion of natural hair and my wonderful "creations"....So stay tuned for more of me. My goal here is share my story of life with you...not only for you to get to know me but so that you may be able to take something from my journey to make your journey a  much smoother process....Stay bless~ xoxo-kiki
